Tottenham have been ‘in contact’ with Belgium club Genk over a possible move to sign their midfielder Sander Berge, based on a report by Tuttomercato.
Mauricio Pochettino admitted this week that he has indeed held talks with club chairman Daniel Levy over whatever plans there could be for the winter transfer window.
Tottenham though, appear to be rather keen on a transfer deal which would be engineered now and completed over the summer.
Italian outlet Tuttomercato’s report is claiming that Spurs have been ‘in close contact’ with Genk over the availability of Berge.
Tottenham are reportedly targeting a move for the 20-year-old which would be finalised next summer and Genk are said to have informed the north Londoners about what the price of the player will be.
The club’s business model with Pochettino as manager has been very efficient and it would not necessarily be a surprise to see Spurs snap up another cheap signing.
