Tottenham join fight to sign 29-year-old attacker from relegated club

Based on the Burnley Express‘ claim, Tottenham have joined the race to sign Jay Rodriguez as the club looks to avoid ending the summer transfer window without any new signings being completed.

Spurs’ lack of activity in the transfer market has fueled the frustration of fans who were expecting a summer of spending after several players were handed new contracts following the end of the season.

Jay Rodriguez, a man who was once touted as one of England’s best forwards after his breakthrough seaosn at Southampton, is apparently being targeted by Spurs.

Burnley Express are suggesting that Tottenham have joined fellow Premier League club Burnley in the fight to sign the 29-year-old.

West Brom, who were relegated from the top flight last season, will be expected to demand a good amount for Rodriguez to be sold as the club deals with the financial losses of missing out on Premier League football.
