Tottenham have been rumoured to be chasing the signature of Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven, based on a report by the Daily Express.
Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to build upon his team’s third place finish in the Premier League last season as they booked a place in the Champions League again.
The Tottenham boss has always been a fan of young talent and so it comes as no surprise that the club is interested in signing Bergwijn.
Daily Express’ report states that Spurs are willing to battle rivals Arsenal and Liverpool in the chase for the 20-year-old attacker.
PSV Eindhoven are reported to be asking for a fee in the region of £23million for Bergwijn, which is actually a fairly cheap price in today’s transfer market.
The young winger racked up eight goals and provided seven assists as Phillip Cocu’s men clinched the Dutch top-flight title in the season which just ended.
